Surrender and Ownership
Before Kitty Haven accepts a cat into our care, we require the cat to be advertised as found in an effort to locate a possible owner.
If the cat is friendly and can be safely handled, we may also ask that a paper collar be used before surrender.
Once accepted, the cat will be held by Kitty Haven for seven days. After this holding period, the cat becomes the property of Kitty Haven, and all decisions regarding its ongoing care, treatment, desexing and rehoming will be made at our discretion and in the cat’s best interests.
During the holding period, the cat may receive any necessary veterinary care, along with flea and worm treatment.
